Enter the 5th Dimension, also originally just titled "HAKEN" or "The Demo", is the first demo album by British progressive metal band Haken.
The album was released on 1 January 2008. The album would serve as a baseplate for the band's 2014 EP Restoration.
Basis
Enter the 5th Dimension is a collection of six tracks created over the course of 2007 and 2008.
Production
The demo began circulation in 2007 with just the songs "Souls" and "Snow". The album originally lacked a proper title, being referred to by the band as simply "The Demo."
The name "Enter the 5th Dimension" was originally not intended to be the name of the album, but rather a tagline used on the band's MySpace page.
Very little is known about the album's production due to how early in the band's history it falls.
A livestream was held in Spring 2020 titled "Re-enter the 5th Dimension," featuring then ex-member Peter Jones and ex-member Matthew Marshall, discussing the production
of the album, but that livestream has since been lost and no backups are available.

- Enter the 5th Dimension is the only Haken release to feature Matthew Marshall on guitars, and the only album to feature Peter Jones in keyboards until his return to the band in 2022.
